It beats my imagination to see people wandering here and there looking for places to invest yet there are so many rich regions in this country where people can invest and do well in businesses and investments. When talking about investing I do not only mean the foreign investors but the local ones as well, who today have embraced investments to the fullest, and are now at par with the foreign investors.

Now, among such rich places with vast opportunities for investments where people can put up their businesses in this country include regions like Kakamega County.   

Kakamega County prides in being the home of the renowned Mumias sugar company. Apparently, the sugar cane that is planted in Kakamega, which is processed in Mumias factory, is of less quantity, such that they always have to get some from the neighboring Busia County. This is already an opportunity which an investor can grab and venture in, i.e. large scale sugar cane farming in Kakamega County, also bearing in mind the favorable climatic conditions it is characterized with.

Kakamega is also an educational center, with only one university however. Masinde Muliro University and other middle level colleges plus some known schools such as Kakamega High School and Lugulu High School are some of the learning institutions that are in this County. Firstly, an investor can introduce a number of private universities as well as some middle level colleges so as to offer such services. Kakamega town, the County’s capital is also an urban town with lots of activities going on.
